Hip Hop Producer Mally Mall Pleads Guilty To Federal Prostitution Charges

LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) — Hip hop producer Mally Mall, who has produced records for artists including Chris Brown, Usher, Snoop Dogg, and Drake pleaded guilty on Monday to owning and operating a prostitution ring.

Mally Mall, whose real name is Jamal Rashid, pleaded guilty to one count of use of an interstate facility in aid of unlawful activity.

According to the plea agreement, Rashid admitted that between April 2002 and September 2014, he owned, operated, and managed several businesses in Clark County, Nev. that were disguised as legal escort businesses but in reality, were part of the same prostitution ring.

In some instances, Rashid’s credit card was used to pay for the airfare and other travel-related expenses and he used various paid websites, such as Backpage and Eros, to advertise the services that his illicit business offered. Furthermore, Rashid induced and enticed numerous women to engage in prostitution.

Rashid, who was named dropped by Drake in his song “The Motto” was also featured on VH1’s reality TV show ‘Love & Hip Hop with then-girlfriend Nikki Mudarris.

U.S. District Judge Richard F. Boulware II, accepted the guilty plea and scheduled a sentencing hearing for January 21, 2020.
